The Explanation

1 At first there was Adam

1 = Adam

2 Then came Eve & the children she bore

2 = Adam & Eve were ‘fruitful & multiplied’

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1.27

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them
Genesis 6.1

3 Then came Jesus who said,

3 = God + The Holy Spirit + Jesus Christ

4 “I am the door

4 = dalet (Hebrew) = door

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time
1 Peter 5.6

6 must “reflect” on itself = Repentance process
6 must repent & turn away (reflect) = Daily renewal of mind

Transform your mind in Christ

Renew your mind daily with the word

present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12.1-2

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4.22-24

But we have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2.16

Jacob’s Ladder
Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

1 Peter 5.6

Deny yourself, take up your cross & follow Him

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
Then He said to them all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. 27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9.23

Discipleship Is Costly
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wishes to save his [v] life (soul) will lose it; but whoever loses his [w] life (soul) for My sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then [x] repay (recompense) every man according to his [y] deed (doings).
Matthew 16.24 NASB

must renew the mind to become “a new creation” in Christ

6

2 Corinthians 5.17

“I die daily”

I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
1 Corinthians 15.31

Crucify the flesh

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g] gentleness (meekness), self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5.22

“put to death the deeds of the body” (works of the flesh)

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8.13

Jesus “laid down His life for us”

We should “lay down our lives” for the brethren by love in action, “in deed and in truth

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall our hearts before Him.
1 John 3.16-19

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
John 15.12-14

You must “die” to yourself to be fruitful”

The wheat must be “buried” (die) in the ground in order to produce a fruitful harvest

If you serve Jesus, follow Him & God will honor you

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much [d] grain (fruit). 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My father will honor.
John 12.24

Trials & tests of your faith produces patience

the testing of your faith produces patience (endurance or perseverance)”

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect (mature) and complete

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a] patience (endurance or perseverance). 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b] perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1.2-4

1 Peter 2.1-3

9 = Master the 9 characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g] gentleness (meekness), self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5.22-26
