Faith is Tested
“the testing of your faith produces patience (endurance or perseverance).
“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing.”
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a] patience (endurance or perseverance). 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b] perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1.2-4
Gold Faith
“that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire“
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been [c] grieved (distressed) by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love.
1 Peter 1.6-8
Gold Faith is Refined
“gold refined in the fire”
I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
Revelation 3.18
“Will refine them as silver is refined
And test them as gold is tested.”
“They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.“
I will bring the one-third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
I will say, ‘This is My people’;
And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”
Zechariah 13.9
“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him”
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
Psalm 91.14-16
“God who tests our hearts.”
God who tests our hearts.
