And have made us kings and priests to our God;

Priests reign over the temple of God (today it’s the body)
Only high priests were made holy to enter the temple of God and the most holy place
Today, “your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you”
“glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

High priests wore “holy garments” “that he may minister to Me as priest”

“high priest…on whose head the anointing oil was poured…is consecrated to wear the garments”
‘He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes

Today believers should spiritually put on the “garments of salvation”

Priests must be faithful by doing only what is in God’s heart and mind
Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.

High priests “can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.”

Jesus, the High Priest, “had compassion”

Jesus was “called by God as High Priest ‘according to the order of Melchizedek,'”

Tribulation > Perseverance > Character > Hope

Priests today should know and obey these commands of God
“no other commandment greater than these”
1st Commandment
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength"
2nd Commandment
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself"
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
