More on Forgiveness

Paul the Apostle urges forgiveness

Forgive the Offender
For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices
.
2 Corinthians 2.9-11

Jesus said to forgive 70 x 7

The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
35 So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”
Matthew 18.21-22, 32-35

A Friendly Reminder: Time Is Fast Running Out

Testimony by Victoria Nehale

Jesus took Victoria Nehale to hell:

He [Jesus] looked at me and said: “Victoria, this is a group of people who refused to forgive others. I told them many times in many different ways to forgive others but they rejected me; I have forgiven them all their sins but they refused to forgive others. Their time ran out and they found themselves here. They will be here for all eternity; they are eating the fruits of their labour for ever and ever. However, it is painful for me to see them in this horrible place and in this eternal situation – because I love them.”

[…]
Those words of the Lord shocked me even more and I asked Him why He would let someone who had served Him so well end up in Hell. The Lord looked at me and said that this lady had believed the deception of the Devil. Although she knew the Scriptures well, she believed the lie of the Devil that there are big sins and small sinsShe thought that a ‘small’ sin would not lead her to Hell because, after all, she was a Christian.

The Lord continued, “I went to her many times and told her to stop what she was doing but many times she would reason that what she was doing was too small and she attributed my warning to her own feelings of guilt. There was a time when she stopped for a while but then she convinced herself again that the warning was not from Me but her own voice because that sin was too insignificant to grieve the Holy Spirit.”

I asked the Lord again to tell me what the sin was that this woman has committed and He answered me thus, “This woman had a friend who is a nurse at Oshakati Hospital. Whenever this woman was sick, she would not go to hospital and pay for her hospital card as normal practice; she would just pick up the telephone and tell her friend to organise medicine for her from the Hospital Dispensary. Her friend would always oblige [agree] and tell her to pick up the medicine at a particular time.

Firstly, she decided to accept the lie of the Devil about small and big sin and rejected my truth; she caused somebody else to sin and steal on her behalf but, worst of all, she grieved the Holy Spirit. This is what caused her to be in Hell. It does not matter whether you bring millions of souls to the Lord; it is still possible to go to Hell for grieving the Holy Spirit. You must not only care about the salvation of others but you must be careful not to forget about your own soul. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit at all times.”

[…]
Jesus said: “I will take you there [Heaven] if you
continue to be obedient because that is also where your house will be. Stay obedient
– because if you are disobedient, Victoria, crows will fly in your house. Your house will be a dwelling place of owls and a playground of ghosts. However, do not fear, because I am with you. Just obey.

Jesus said:
"Just obey"

Divine Revelation of Hell
By Mary K Baxter (book excerpt)

(This is one of her visits to hell.
Jesus showed her a Christian woman who died & went to hell):

I listened as a woman spoke to Jesus from the flames of the pit.  She was quoting the Word of God.  “Dear Lord, what is she doing here?” I asked. “Listen,” said Jesus. The woman said, “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No man comes to the Father but by Him.  Jesus is the Light of the World.  Come to Jesus, and He will save you.”

When she spoke, many of the lost souls around her listened.  Some swore and cursed at her.  Some told her to stop.  Still others said, “Is there really hope?” or “Help us, Jesus.” Great cries of sorrow filled the air. I didn’t understand what was happening.  I did not know why the woman was preaching the gospel here.

The Lord knew my thoughts.  He said, “Child, I called this woman at the age of thirty to preach My Word and to be a witness of the gospel.  I call different ones for different purposes in My body.  But if man or woman, boy or girl doesn’t want My Spirit, I will depart. “Yes, she did answer My call for many years, and she grew in the knowledge of the Lord.  She learned My voice, and she did many good works for Me.  She studied the Word of God.  She prayed often, and she had many prayers answered.  She taught many people the way of holiness.  She was faithful in her house.

“The years went by until one day she found out that her husband was having an affair with another woman.  And even though he asked for forgiveness, she grew bitter and would not forgive him and try to save her marriage.  True, her husband was wrong, and he did commit a very grave sin. “But this woman knew My Word.  She knew to forgive, and she knew that with every temptation there is a way of escape.  Her husband asked her to forgive him.

She would not.  Instead, anger took root.  Anger grew inside her.  She would not turn it over to Me.  She turned more bitter each day and said in her heart, ‘Here I am serving God all the way, and my husband is running around with another woman! ‘Do you think that is right?’ She said to Me. “I said, ‘No, it is not right.  But he came to you and repented and said he would never do that again.

“I told her, ‘Daughter, look inside yourself, and see that you have caused this yourself” “‘Not me, Lord,’ she said, ‘I am the holy one, and he is the sinful one.’ She would not listen to Me“Time went on, and she wouldn’t pray to Me or read the Bible.  She became angry not only at her husband, but also at those around her.  She quoted the Scriptures, but she would not forgive him. “She would not listen to Me.  Her heart grew bitter, and great sin entered in.  Murder grew in her heart where love had once been.  And one day, in her anger, she killed her husband and the other woman.  satan then took her over completely, and she killed herself.

“I looked at that lost soul that had given up Christ and condemned her soul forever to the flames and the pain.  I listened as she responded to Jesus.  “I will forgive now, Lord,” she said.  “Let me out.  I will obey You now.  See, Lord, I am preaching Your Word now.  In an hour demons will come to take me to be tormented even worse.  For hours they will torture me.  Because I was preaching your Word, my torments are worse.  Please, Lord, I beg You to let me out.” I cried with the woman in the pit and asked the Lord to please keep me from all bitterness of heart.  “Don’t let me allow hatred to come into my heart, Lord Jesus,” I said. “Come, let us go on,” Jesus said.

Unforgiveness Is A Medical Disease

* Unforgiveness is classified
in medical books as a disease

According to Dr. Steven Standiford, chief of surgeon at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America,

refusing to forgive makes people sick and keeps them that way

61% of cancer patients have unforgiveness
1/2 are severe

Dr Michael Barry
Author: “The Forgiveness Project”

“Negative emotions (anger, hatred, etc) creates chronic anxiety.

Chronic anxiety produces cortisol (stress hormone) and adrenaline which reduces the bodies natural killer cells. Natural killer cells fight against cancer cells.”

“When a person forgives from the heart like in Matthew 18, patients experience peace and lightness. They realize anger and hatred is a burden to carry”

‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Matthew 18.32-35

Forgiveness Therapy:
1st Step:
“Recognizing forgiveness is not condoning what that person did”

She was diagnosed with breast cancer
At church, the pastor said there is someone who has breast cancer and unforgiveness

She knew that was God telling her to forgive so she did
At home she was watching Christian TV and the host said
“Choose to forgive those who hurt you”
She felt that was God talking to her again

Two days later she went to the doctor and the cancer was gone!
4 mammograms and 1 ultrasound – no cancer!
X-ray: before-lump, after-no lump

“I know God healed me and I praise Him for it!”

* "Fear of getting a disease increases
your chance of getting it by 63%"

< 25% of illness is from exposure
(chemicals, illness, etc)

Early childhood abuse, trauma, etc increases vulnerability (linked) to illness and cancer

"Love increases a persons resistance to disease"

4 This Is Why Many People Are Not Healed! | John Bevere

Unforgiveness can cause cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and premature death!

* “Pray that God will reveal who and or what you need to forgive”

* Also don’t forget to forgive yourself

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Please help me to forgive those who hurt me. I want to receive your forgiveness of my sins, so please show me who and or what I need to forgive from my heart, including myself.

Help me to see the big picture of how you see us from above. Help me to always say and do good so that the devil will not have legal right to steal, kill and destroy the destiny you have for me.

I want to have powerful and effective prayers so you can work in my life and in the lives of those around me. Thank you God for setting me free from the disease of unforgiveness.

In Jesus’ name Amen
