Wise virgins have great faith •
“that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire” (1 Peter 1.7)
I had a dream from God a few days ago (mid-June 2019)
A little later as I started wondering about it, suddenly Jesus started teaching me about the Parable of the Good Samaritan
As He was telling the story He made comparisons to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden
And as He was concluding, I had to hurry up and find a pen and paper to write it down before I forgot some of it
Because I was wondering about the correct interpretation of the dream Jesus was confirming it with these two stories of the spiritually wounded
A few days ago I got another confirmation
I had another dream about translating
God was confirming to me that He did want me to (key word) “translate” (interpret) the more difficult symbolisms, which almost appeared literal, in order to get the message
(God is so amazing)
I’ve never noticed the similarities in these two stories before
And I haven’t read either of these stories recently
I hope it encourages someone out there. I give God all the glory.
Here is a side by side comparison of the two stories
• Beaten up spiritually
• Dominion “stolen” by the serpent
• Shamed & left for dead spiritually
• God dressed them with “tunics of skins”
Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
Genesis 3.21
• Kings, priests & prophets were anointed with oil physically
Anoint […] as king
[…] anoint as prophet
1 Kings 19.16
the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured
Leviticus 21.10
• Shed animals blood for their sins daily & yearly
who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s
Hebrews 7.27
But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance
Hebrews 9.7
• God’s presence was “stolen” from them & they were banned from the garden of Eden
the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden
Genesis 3.23
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
John 10.10
• Beaten up physically
• Money ‘snatched’ by thieves
• Shamed & left for dead physically
• Jesus “dressed” the man’s wounds with oil & wine
So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine
Luke 10.34
• Today thru Christ we are the kings, priests & prophets who are anointed with the Holy Spirit spiritually
And have made us kings and priests to our God
Revelation 5.10
Your servants the prophets and the saints
Revelation 11.18
the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior
Titus 3.5-6
• Jesus’ shed blood for our sins “once for all”
For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, [i]harmless (innocent), undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.
Hebrews 7.26-28
• The man’s money was ‘snatched away’
“The seed” = “the word of God”
The seed is the word of God.
Luke 8.11
For the word of God is living and powerful
Hebrews 4.12
The wicked one ‘snatched away’ the word of God sown in his heart because he did not understand it
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
Matthew 13.19
“The Oil" =
The Anointing & The Power
of The Holy Spirit
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
James 5.14
The Anointing = The Holy Spirit
“God anointed Jesus…with the Holy Spirit and with power”
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power
Acts 10.38
“the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15.13
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you“
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be [c] (My) witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1.8
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3.4
the cup of wine = “the new covenant” = Jesus’ blood
18 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.
20 This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
Luke 22.18, 20
Drink the cup of wine = Jesus’ blood
For My flesh is [k] (true) food indeed, and
My blood is [l] (true) drink indeed.
56 He who eats My flesh and drinks
My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
John 6.55-56
Jesus = “the true vine” = the cup of wine
I am the true vine
John 15.1
Jesus = God’s wisdom
“Christ…the wisdom of God“
Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1.24
“Jesus…wisdom from God”
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God
1 Corinthians 1.30
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”
27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
28 And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’
36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
Luke 10.25-37
“thieves” = demons who work for “the thief” (satan)
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10.10
“stripped him of his clothing” = physical & spiritual clothing
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61.10
“wounded him” = physical & spiritual wounds
Spiritual wounds are caused by hurtful words and actions
Hurtful words and actions can “cut” deep
A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Proverbs 25.18
Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words
Psalm 64.3
Their tongue is an arrow shot out;
It speaks deceit
Jeremiah 9.8
“half dead” = physically and/or spiritually “half dead”
“neighbor” = anyone you come across during your journey in life that needs mercy
“mercy” = charity, grace, compassion, goodwill
And have made us kings and priests to our God
Revelation 5.10
But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God
2 Corinthians 6.4
High priests should minister to others needs and “can have compassion“
Minister = to give aid or service
Compassion = a strong feeling of sympathy and sadness for other people’s suffering or bad luck and a desire to help
For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.
Hebrews 5.1
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, 10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”
Hebrews 5.9
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
Luke 10.33
So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine
Luke 10.34
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
James 5.14
High Priests should also help others by ministering to their hearts
The “soil” of hearts should be “good ground” to understand the word, bear fruit and produce a hundredfold
Hears + Understands the word =
bears fruit & produces a 30, 60 or 100 fold crop according to the condition of the heart
19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.
23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
Matthew 13.19, 23
