Kings Should Seek Strategies For Victory

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;

Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,

The Word Is A Guide

Throughout the ages, God has left us His word as a guide to living a life of victory over the wicked one

“God is Spirit” and satan is a spirit who live in higher dimensions
We are the pawns in this lower dimension that they use in the cosmic battle over good and evil

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

John 4.24

God = 3rd heaven

satan = 2nd heaven (“prince of the power of the air”)

The Vision of Paradise

God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— 4 how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience
Ephesians 2.2   

An angel was sent to Daniel but the “prince of the kingdom of Persia” and the “kings of Persia” fought him and “Michael the archangel” most likely in the air for 21 days

This angel could not get to Daniel for 21 days because of the battle

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

Wise Counsel

God’s word contains the best of the best advice of many wise and godly “counselors” throughout history

Wise “counsel” = Wise words of guidance
Many wise “counselors” = Many wise words of guidance

Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

Proverbs 11.14

Visiting many counselors does not guarantee help unless they give you wise and godly words of guidance that fit your situation

Without counsel, plans go awry,
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

Proverbs 15.22

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold
In settings of silver

Proverbs 25.11

God’s word contains everything you need to successfully wage war against the enemy for every season

Secret Counsel of Wisdom

Kings reign through wisdom
And through wisdom, counsel, understanding and strength are attained

“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion.
13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, I have strength.
15 By me kings reign,
And rulers decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles,
All the judges of the earth.

Proverbs 8.12-16

“His secret counsel is with the upright”

Kings must be upright to receive God’s secret counsel

But His secret counsel is with the upright.

Proverbs 3.32

I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons

Understanding Acquires Wise Counsel

An understanding person will acquire wise counsel

For the words of the wise are proverbs, enigmas and riddles

To know wisdom and instruction,
To [a] perceive (understand or discern) the words of understanding,
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;
4 To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will [b] attain (acquire) wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.

Proverbs 1.2-6

Counsel of The Holy Spirit

The more you study the word, the more you are filled with the Holy Spirit
And He will counsel and comfort you with the word at the right time

But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
John 14.26 AMP

Seek Knowledge or Be Destroyed

God says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”
If you disdain Wisdom’s counsel, calamity, terror, destruction, distress and anguish will come upon you
And Wisdom will not answer when you call

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.
Hosea 4.6

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The Call of Wisdom

Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
21 She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
22 “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
23 Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called and you refused,

I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,

25 Because you disdained all my counsel,

And would have none of my rebuke,

26 I also will laugh at your calamity;

I will mock when your terror comes,

27 When your terror comes like a storm,

And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,

When distress and anguish come upon you.

They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.

And did not choose the fear of the Lord,

30 They would have none of my counsel

And despised my every rebuke.

Evil By Default, Choose Good By Will

There is no middle ground

The separation between good and evil is more evident today

Either you willingly choose to serve God or you serve satan by default

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.
Matthew 12.30

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

Choose to live “the life” daily

Jesus = “the life”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14.6

We “eat” “the bread of life” by reading and meditating on His word

Jesus = “the bread of life”

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

John 6.35

My eyes are awake through the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.

Psalm 119.148

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1.8

Transform by renewing your mind

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is  that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
