Wise virgins are worthy of Jesus •
“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me” (Matthew 10.37)
The 144k are the sealed “servants of our God” mentioned in Revelation 7
“Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
Revelation 7.3
They are the servants most like Jesus, the elect (chosen) ones just as Jesus was God’s Elect (Chosen) One
The Servant of the Lord
“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,
My [a] Elect (Chosen) One in whom My soul delights!
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
2 He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed He will not break,
And [b] smoking (dimly burning) flax He will not [c] quench (extinguish);
He will bring forth justice for truth.
4 He will not fail nor be discouraged,
Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
Isaiah 42.1-4
“the priests…the servants of our God”
But you shall be named the priests of the Lord,
They shall call you the servants of our God.
Isaiah 61.6
“[N]ot defiled with women” means they do not commit physical and spiritual adultery
These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins.
Revelation 14.4
They do not commit spiritual adultery with “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS,” “that great city”
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
1 Corinthians 6.15-17
“The woman…BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS”
The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. 5 And on her forehead a name was written:
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 17.4
“the woman…is that great city”
And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
Revelation 17.18
“Come out of her, my people”
And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
Revelation 18.4
The 144k know that their “body is the temple of God”
They “glorify God in” their “body and spirit,” “which are God’s”
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6.18-20
They are in the world, but “not of the world”
They remain holy by setting themselves apart for God
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
John 17.16
SPIRITUAL VIRGINS
The 144k are spiritual virgins
These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins.

These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes.

They are disciples loved by Jesus who ‘follow’ Him
Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper

John 12.25
They “bear [their] cross” to go after Jesus and “forsake all” to be His disciple
Leaving All to Follow Christ
Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
Luke 14.25-27, 33
They “do not love the world or anything in the world”
They understand that those who love the world do not have “love for the Father”
They understand that “the world and its desires pass away”
And they understand that “whoever does the will of God lives forever”
On Not Loving the World
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2.15-17
They “stand firm” and know that their “labor in the Lord is not in vain”
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15.58
“But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.”
They “follow His steps”
Jesus did not sin
Jesus had “no deceit [lies] in His mouth”
Jesus “did not threaten” while suffering
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongly. 20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;
23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously
1 Peter 2.19-23

31 […] If God is for us, who can be against us?
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?
36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Romans 2.28-29

No one is considered according “to the flesh,” but by the spirit
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh.

Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;
23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
