144K: (GOD CONCEALS) KINGS SEARCH & REVEAL

God conceals the revelation of his word in the hiding place of his glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.
Proverbs 25.2 TPT

we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom
1 Corinthians 2.7

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful
1 Corinthians 4.1

THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS FULL OF SYMBOLISM

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants–things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John

The words of the wise are proverbs, enigmas & riddles

Unraveling them requires an understanding heart to “hear"

The words of the wise and their riddles”

To understand a proverb and an enigma,

14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, I have strength.
Proverbs 8.12

Wisdom ≫ Understanding ≫ Knowledge

• The way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted
Intuitive understanding and insight

Hebrews 5.14

The 144k could have perception, understanding and discernment

The 144k may perceive “see” with the heart
They may understand “hear” with the heart
They may be able to discern both good and evil” by having “their senses exercised”

“The word of God” is a “two-edged sword” that “cuts” and “pierces”
It is a “discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4.12

144K: THE FAITHFUL CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA

The 144k may be from within the faithful church in Philadelphia

The overcomers from this church will not be tested in the “hour of trial” because they continue to keep Jesus’ command to persevere

Philadelphia
5360. philadelphia
Strong’s Concordance – Greek
Definition: the love of brothers, brotherly love
Usage: brotherly love, love of Christian brethren

5360 philadelphía (from 5384 /phílos, “loving friend” and 80 /adelphós, “a brother”) – properly, affection for the brethren (fellow-believers)

The members of this church who overcome will have the name of God, the New Jerusalem and Jesus’ new name written on them

The Faithful Church
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept [g] My command to persevere (the word of My patience), I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
Revelation 3.7-12

144K: THE DEAD CHURCH IN SARDIS

Some of the 144k may come from the church in Sardis or they may be a separate group

Sardis – the capital of Lydia, a luxurious city
Philadelphia – a city of Lydia in Asia Minor

Sardis was near Philadelphia so they were probably rightly influenced by them

There are some in the church in Sardis who are “worthy”
Those who overcome will “be clothed in white garments”
They “have not defiled their garments”

The Dead Church
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
Revelation 3.1-5

However, it isn’t mentioned that they will get any names written on them (or maybe it is implied)

It is worth noting the “few” who are “worthy” in this church

Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
Luke 21.36
